The car was painted in 1993 when the 1/2 vinyl top was removed. It just looks like enamel...not base-clear. The moldings were added around 2010. Why is a mystery but by being garage kept it may not hurt it.
There's one small spot that is loose and doesn't look any different under it. I'll definitely be proceeding with caution while using a small heat gun or hair dryer.

I could maybe leave them on if they were straight. The DS doesn't look too bad but the PS is up and down...
