with te 70 Challenger,72 Cuda were those body styles picked for engine bay room or public popularity?
what were there front frame progression starting with just inner fenders removed or streight to front half tube build?
what was used for tube bending?[floor mount manual bender?]

To the best of my knowledge, the Challenger and Cuda bodies were utilized because these were the cars that were considered the Chrysler high performance cars of the period. The hemi was available to the public in both body styles and it then became a perfect marketing tool.

The Challenger, Cuda, and the Duster utilized the front frame rail sections with the inner panels removed and replaced by removeable panels made from aluminum. Modified K members were used as well but by the time we built the Duster we utilized a Pinto rack and pinion steering rack in the modified K member.

Our round tubes in the chassis were always chrome moly. We did our bending with a Greenlee bender - a hydraulic unit. I don't know what Butler used to bend the tubes in the Duster but the Greenlee unit was real propular back then.
