Yeah I have a tendency to buy the cheap stuff sometimes! I bought that regulator about 10 years ago off ebay probably and I'm sure it was the cheapest one I could find! I just ordered an ACDelco unit off Amazon! I'm hoping it's just the regulator causing the issue!
