Final data point: I spent a little time trying to get a decent rocker arm roller to valve tip pattern print.
I am only using the checking spring (well, doubled up LOL), still, not enough pressure really to mark the tip very clearly.
Anyways, here is what I have:
1)
INTAKE - about 0.050" wide

2)
EXHAUST - about 0.065-75" wide

In terms of the "holy grail" chase here, that being the best valvetrain geometery: I do find that the sweep pattern is shifted towards the exhaust side.
Keeping that in mind and relying on the fact that:
- raising the rocker moves the roller toward the exhaust side of the valve stem
- lowering the rocker moves the roller toward the intake side of the valve stem
....I conclude that the B3 kit I have right now is a little too "tall" and places the rocker arm a little too high. Subsequently, this appears to be confirmed given that using a lash cap nets me higher lift, and appears to produce a better looking sweep.
