Eric, did you buy most of this stuff used like the heads & HS rockers, If not, i don't see how you could have only 3K with 1400.00 heads, not so cheap rockers & 400.00 pistons not counting the other bolt-ons & cam/lifters/timing set/pushrods/bearings/rings/carb & all the machine work unless this was 20+ yrs. ago or you own a machine shop ., just saying, I did my 451 for 3600.00, but i only had 450.00 in the heads.
I bought my re-freshed 440 here on moparts assembled and ready to fire for 3k... .030 440 11.19:1 ross pistons, H-beam rods, stock steel crank, Ported stage VI heads, new 588 comp solid roller, H/S 1.5's, fluidampr, 8 qt oil pan 1/2 pick-up and some extras...(not including the 6-pack) Deals are out there. Just had to drop the 6-pack on and paint it orange. Thanks Gumbydammit.
Can't argue with that, sounds like a great deal, goes to show times are getting touch.
