Post them up, I'm looking to get 10.90's in a 3000 LBS car

Calm down small block guys we still like younz.
Now back to the original poster. It doesn't take a lot of work to build a 440 to run 10.90's in a 3000# car. 30 years ago before we had all the go fast products that are available now. I used this combo to run 9.80 in a 74 duster that weighted 2900# with me in the seat.
2900# total weight
.030 over 440 with TRW forged dome pistons
Stock rods (direct conection bolts, shot peened, polished beems)
stock forged crank
750 comp cams roller cam
Weiand tunnelram with two 750 holley carbs (76 jets summer-78 jets fall)
4:56 rear gear
727 trans
14-31-15 goodyears
superstock springs (001-002)

Pretty simple build but with the parts available now its crazy not to use a set of h-beem rods and an after market crank. Or you could go with a 4.150 crank and really blow those small blocks away.

or u could go with a 340 block 40 over,10.5 compression,4" crank,750 hp carb,255/255 @50 588 lift FLAT TAPPET bullit cam..in a 3200lb dart sport with 3500 stall conv,and do 10.80's and street drive to the beach

So, does`your car go 10.80`s or is that a different car?
