I am sorry for the slow response.
I have not been able to do a lot to the car, but here are a few pictures to bring this thread up to date. It looks like it will be a while before I can get back to it but I will as soon as I can.
The front valence was stripped and a few places ironed out, then epoxy , filler and urethane primed and blocked out. This leaves the hood and cowl panels as all that remains to be prepped for paint with the exception of the engine compartment. I stripped the undercoating from the inner fenders and they look good.
