My quarters are just like that. I admit thought I was pretty slick because I got the area where the glass lays on the side to fit nicely without cutting it (I held a piece of 3/16 steel in that glass channel and hit that with the hammer for quite a while to reshape that area, it worked better than expected), but when I test fit my molding recently
I found out I'm going to have to cut the bottom part exactly like you did to get the shape correct.

Your pics have definitely helped me out a bunch and I saved those + plenty of others in my FB album that you have probably noticed.

Obviously that is spot that AMD has not corrected in these panels.
We have to be happy that we caught it prior to painting etc. I guess.
