Thanks Road Runner! Sorry for the delayed response.
What I have done, is to test fit the quarter panel to the body and mark a line on the tab on the new qtr. pnl. that fits under the roof skin welding tab to allow for overlap . I then cut off the excess and bend the roof tabs up enough to allow the panel tabs to be in proper position . It helps to make some small cuts in the roof tab, so I am bending up smaller sections at a time. I can then tap the roof tab down and weld into place. I want to leave enough of the tab to overlap and weld to when the roof tab is tapped down.
