Thanks bboogieart ,
When the repaint started going bad I told my folks I would do it again, and replace the quarters. They have both passed on now, but I will get it done.
Mom was really great about letting us borrow her car when we asked for it. She actually helped me get started in Hot Rodding when I was 13 or so as my love for cars was already strong and school was not going well. She was a substitute teacher ! She said her dad had started a college fund for me before he died in 1956 and there was a little money I could use to build a hot rod, that I could drive when I turned 16. I bought a 36 Ford coupe body, and a 392 Hemi engine and trans. That was the first engine I rebuilt!
I was class of 1969 so we must be close in age ? My sisters are a little nervous that I have started the work now ! LOL
