My Mallory 140 doesn't have a built-in bypass like some of the other pumps do. If I decide to set up a return line in the style shown in those diagrams, would adding a bypass regulator right after the pump (in addition to the dead-head regulator at the carburetor) function the same way? I think it would, but maybe I'm overlooking something about how the bypassed versions are designed.
