Tell you what kills the desire to finish a project more than anything else is to get into a project you don't have the skills or abilities to finish on your own. That means you have to kiss someone's rearend to get things done, their timeline,their desire to do it right,and yes getting it shoved up your butt when it is time to settle up. I look at that as a learning opportunity. That's how/why I taught myself to weld and and paint.

I hate having to go to others to get work done. The only thing I had to outsource for my Cuda was the chrome plating and exhaust system (I can't bend pipe, and I don't like pre-fabbed systems).

But I didn't do any engine machining work.
