Nothing wrong with leafs, they work fine when setup right. The problem is the tire. Drag Radials are great, WHEN the track is prepped for them, especially on big power. Guys go fast on radials when the track is flypaper sticky, the rest of the time is a smoke show. This past weekend at Radial Fest, with a track prepped especially for radials, they didn't even bother to attempt to run in the heat of the day when track temps were high. So to directly answer the question, YES, at your power level slicks are MUCH better on a marginal surface. Which Milan nearly always is at best.

One pass we attempted during the day, we had enough in the car to MAYBE go about a 1.25 sixty foot and it was instant tire smoke. As soon as shade got on the track and temps went down, we were right back to 1.05, 1.06 etc in sixty feet. And nothing about it is easy. You need a VERY good handle on car setup and power management

Blower, turbo, nitrous........doesn't matter. Big power with any of them is hard to manage on radials
