Hey just a heads up, I pulled my radiator yesterday and when I checked the zinc anode it was all ate to crap. I had last checked that thing about 2 years ago and it was still in good condition. My radiator still works fine no leaks so I didn't think the galvanic corrosion would be that bad. I was amazed to find the anode to basically crumble in my hands. With this new motor I went and got a new aluminum radiator and will replace my hoses with some Gates green stripe hoses, http://www.gates.com/products/automotive...ly-coolant-hose replaced the steel water neck with an aluminum piece, and will put in another sacrificial zinc anode. Also going to use some aluminum engine specific coolant and flush more often.
Have you done a electrolysis check on your motor? Take a voltmeter and ground the black/neg. and dangle the red/pos. in the coolant with an open radiator cap. Should be less than .3 volts (300 mV).
Are you mixing tap water with green coolant?
This is 76.8 mV
