You may try some 275/60 DRs. More side height may help......a little. And the Cal-Tracs are the way to go.
I think you are right that you won't dead hook, but with practice and the right set-up, low 1.5 60s should be achievable. My Cuda will 60' a 1.5 flat with DRs. No reason you shouldn't be able to also.
But it will take lot of practice. Especially with the stick.
