I think what he was trying to ask is:
Can/could you mix E-85 with other fuels and get SOME improvement?
I.E. 3gal. 93oct. with 1gal E-85 go up 2 jets and basically have a 96ish octane blend. As an example

I have read that LEADED fuels don't mix well with ethanol. That is something to keep in mind
You could try it and watch your results. I don't think you would hurt the engine if you are carefull.
