No money involved with the winners. The event doesn't pay, so it keeps the atmosphere low key. It's hard to explain the gains one gets out of these events. The money would mean nothing, after a short time, but the experience, and friendships gained are priceless, and last a life time. Until you experience it in person, some just don't get it. Maybe never will. Those that have, it becomes an addiction.


Exactly. Big payouts would ruin the vibe of the event, same with the original pump gas drags. That being said, I'm sure if you're willing to promote one, money is there to be made on their end. I don't think Tom Bailey would have expanded so quickly if he wasn't making money on the magazine and the initial Sick Week in 2022.
