Is their any monetary awards for the best two to four winning cars in each of their classes? If not, why not? I had look into this along time ago when Petersen Publishing first started road trip cruises like this and there were no monetary awards so I didn't enter based on the theory that they, the magazines, were making more money in adverting by featuring these types of events I think if they aren't awarding the top 2 to 4 participants in each class monetary awards they should
Nope, class winners get a Jacket, the podium finishers in each class get a Plaque, the Top 3 of the event get a custom Guitar from Gear Vendors.
Rocky Mountain Race Week pays like 10K to the overall winner and 1K per class IIRC. That event draws plenty of cars but they aren't as fast as Drag Week as a whole. That event isn't covered as well as Drag Week or Sick Week and I guess a 10K prize isn't enough to bait the ultra fast unlimited cars.
