In Florida, anything north of Lake Okeechobee are generally low tax areas. Florida has no state income tax and no inheritance taxes. A few tracks. The car hobby is pretty active in those areas. No seasons in Florida. Pretty much can do anything year round.
Major issue with Florida is Home Property Insurance...
Rates in some places, if U can get it are 4X the national average.

Own your home outright, skip home property insurance, live on high ground, buy cheap flood insurance, away from urban areas/traffic, with no nearby tree lines or neighbors, insure your collector cars/parts to the max. wear hat, sunscreen and DEET. and plan on moving out in 10 years when your house doubles in value.
