im running Brad Penn 10W40 weight oil, .0025" on the rods and .003" on the mains (full groove bearings).
It has been suggested to me that I may be running too much oil in the pan as this is just a Kevko pan that only holds 5 quarts I believe...However, to get the full reading on the dipstick with the remote filter, I needed to add more (I believe 7 bottles instead of 5).
What I am most concerned with is the drop in pressure instead of it holding steady at 60, especially at higher rpms, which is when it seems to be happening
If you actually have 7 quarts in a 5 quart pan, the windage could be whipping the oil up into a "froth"? and pressure being affected by the air being mixed in instead of the oil being in a completely fluid state.
