Try not to take it personally.

Sometime guys will point out stuff that is wrong on my car.
If it's something I already know about I just nod and smile and say "It's a work in progress!". Sometimes I actually do learn something from someone more knowledgeable than me and I file that info away. Other times the guy is simply mistaken.

Either way, I don't let it hurt my feelings. It's just a car.
