Guys, I often wondered if the Missile was sometimes used as a blocker? The Missile was a Chrysler test vehicle - could you hear the stink if it beat Jenkins, Nicholson, ect...in the final. A Chrysler owned car...I don't think the Missile scored it's first major win until 72. Don't get me wrong, the Missiles are some of my favorite all-time cars but when Carlton & Sox lined up it seemed that Ronnie always won (up to 72, but by then the weight breaks were upon them). Not always by having the faster car though - the Missile would set low ET run extremly quick in eliminations and something would go wrong in the final??? (ex. clutch eye bolt, handicap still dialed in the christmas tree from the previous S/S run, ect... Just a thought Mark J
