My only real question is how much the show pays those guys to be in the show? I know most of us would pretend a whole bunch of drama if "the show" bought us a bunch of speed parts and new tires. You know they have LEO participation in blocking off the "race track" - so there isn't actually any fear of going to jail anyway.... just balling it up on a crowned and unprepped surface.

And that's just on the race car, not to mention our trucks, trailers, shops, homes, etc. You basically use up everything you own in a mad dash for 8 weeks straight. Then they leave and it takes months to get things even remotely going steady. Then one day a fleet full of vans pull up in your yard and it starts all over again.
BUT....in the end there are millions of people that would trade spots with me right now. How many times in a mans life, is he given a chance to showcase his passion and get national recognition for it?
