I had my 383hp in my SuperBee rebuilt a couple of years ago. I thought I did my homework. Stock pistons were .004 down in. My engine
builder realized that it must have had the deck mill .02 in it's life. I went with the KB400 with the dome and valve reliefs. Had my 906 heads gone thru and 3 angle valve job. New valves and retainers and locks and springs the compcam. 268 requires. I didn't calculate my numbers accurretly until after it was put together. With the 1.908 compression height of the KB400's and the stock pistons are 1.932 I realized after all the figuring I was only at 9.3 compression. What I should have done was had the heads milled .02 and went with the .02 steel head gasket and that would have put me near 10.0 compression. My future plans are to go with 440 source 80 cc heads to get the compression up to 10.0. Be careful with a zero deck and 80cc heads. Your pistons will need valve reliefs with that setup or you will most likely be tearing it back apart. Just my
