I've been, finally, making some headway on an 80 Cordoba LS, silver, with maroon gut. Tempted to do the Caltracs or go old school and do ladder bars and floaters. Mine will get a 90 360 roller motor at first to keep the a/c functional. Once I find some aftermarket brackets to mount the axial style compressor it's a 440 or 400/451 all the way.

This topic hits home for me in a big way. Didn't get to play with a racecar as much as I would have liked to before the kiddies arrived and now I've accumulated enough cars & parts to build soemthing dedicated to the track and a comfy street strip car too. Trouble is when I take the family out in the retro-cruiser, I like to be comfortable.
