Hey there Reed, . Welcome to the lower control arm blues! Man those things are in there. Some you would almost swear that they are permanent. So far the best method I have found is to have the lower control arms sent out to the metal cleaners, redi strip ,etc. Usually once they come back the bushing itself is gone then all I do is take a very small chisel and get the outer edge of the old sleeve to start caving in on itself. After you do get it started I then take a carbide bit and make a small incision in the side of the sleeve and simply chisel it out of the bushing bore. If you don't have access to the metal cleaners you must knock out the rubber bushing first and then work on the left over steel sleeve. Either way it is a fair amount of work. Hopefully this helps. Maybe some one out there has a better plan. My buddy used one of the tools available to remove the rubber but it still leaves the sleeve behind. Good Luck. JC
