the "MADE IN CANAADA" paint stamps and/or stickers are for new over-the-counter parts, not original assembly line parts
...stamped for and missing the ground strap but the N94 bases I have seen weren't stamped for and didn't have those....although I have not seen them all. Your pictured base has the characteristics that indicate it is the real deal as stated by others....but out of curiousity can you see and count the number of spotwelds holding the outer ring to the base
