i couldn't make it this year due to health issues and doctor visits.
i have MS as well as knee and hip issues, so a scooter of some kind is a necessity for me.
one thing i have noticed over the years, if you must use a scooter, you better be aware of your surroundings at all times.
i don't zoom around at 100mph, and try to stay out of everyone's way.
even being super cautious didn't prevent me from being run into by a vehicle owned by Hemmings a couple years ago in the swap meet.
luckily, my scooter and myself didn't suffer any damage, but the scooter put a pretty big hack in the Hemmings car's bumper cover.
quite a few bystanders saw this happen and gave the driver a real chewing out, as well as making sure i was ok. i'm glad the incident was a low speed one.
it's not as much fun as some think when one is forced to ride instead of walk.
