I dunno man, unless there's an actual ordinance that prohibits it, I don't think there's anything you can do about it.

Smoke is a regular thing around here. In the summer, everyone is firing up their BBQ pits. In cooler weather, its firepits, so you smell smoke pretty much all year. As long as its not a big ol' bonfire threatening to burn down the neighborhood, there ain't squat we can do about it. About the only time it really annoys me is not being able to sleep with the windows open during cooler weather.

My neighbor who has been in this subdivision for 30 yrs says its ALWAYS been that way.

As long as you have neighbors, there will always be issues, weather it be smoke, or neighbors who complain about smoke.
