The weather is really nice right now here in central Alabama. The humidity has left us and the temperatures have dropped. Went for a 2 hour walk tonight....about 5 to 6 miles. I was walking back home and as I rounded the corner of my block, I could smell smoke....definitely not a barbecue grill...the smell of wood burning. The smell got stronger as I got closer to my house. Well its my new neighbor with their backyard fire pit going strong. They are definitely burning wood. They smoked up most of my street. The fire pits have become very trendy in this area. Unfortunately many don't seem to care or think about their neighbors health. What if some child on the street has asthma. Or some older person could have emphysema or a heart condition. They certainly don't seem to care about their own health. I found out last week that my neighbor on the other side of my house has stage 2 lung cancer and had part of her lung removed.
