My only personal experience with the SD was on a 440 with a 10 inch 3500 converter. It worked well , but the old Torker I had on it before 60fted a tiny bit better. SD was about 1 mph faster in the 1/4 than the Torker for me. I wouldn't want to use a SD or any other single plane on a 383 with a low stall converter.
