With a modern clutch in front of it you could soften the hit and you would be fine. Like already said finding parts would be difficult because much of that stuff is collecting dust WAY in the back of the shop. The few clutch-flites I have seen were 23 spline which is pretty small for an input shaft being sent 1000 HP
