What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. My immune system started being built up the day I was born. Don't get me wrong, I'm not gonna start licking toilet bowls or any thing like that, but I'm not gonna pull the hole in on myself either just because there is a cold or flu virus going around.
You're missing the point here. This is a new virus and there is no immunity to it for anyone. And it's contagious for an average 5 days
before symptoms, that is how it managed to spread so fast. Not only that, it is quite a bit more lethal than a "flu virus".
Once there is a vaccine and everyone gets it, then you can brag about your immune system. In the meantime, don't underestimate the lethality. See: Italy, Spain, NYC.
