I'm no "painter" but I was thinking that maybe you tape the edge of the scoop, blast some paint underneath then remove the tape and finish the painting. Not sure how my guy is doing it. Thinking he may have it painted this week and we'll see how it turns out.

Here's a photo of the doors with a guide coat shot on them, I think he is on his 2nd round of block sanding.
