Because that is a Relay "center" from Painless......I would rather have all my relays in one spot, than all over the car. I believe all new cars also have a central relay source..........Plus, when having the relay close to the "draw", you still have to run power to that relay in a heavy enough gauge wire to handle to amps of the draw. So whats the diff if the long wire is on the draw side, or the supply side?
