My pump relay is within 10" of the fuel pump, my water pump and fan relays are about 18"... I do use relays for the head lights but dont need them after I changed head light styles(went to led and halogen) but I wired the front before I changed styles so I just kept them there... I also use a constant duty solenoid to supply the power to all the front end stuff so it has 1 larger power wire to the front end... this is on my Rampage... on the race car the relay are still near the draw but no constant duty solenoid(less junk to fail)
