I agree with you Gene, I am working on my race truck and my 46 coe PU on the dakota chassis and It takes a little longer making something just so it will be easier to do something later. I am working on the floor and engine cover and am making the top cover so it can come off with a few latches and the lower floor area needs to be removable to get at the valve covers and spark plugs, I also had to make the firewall removable so the engine could be removed with out having to take the cab off the frame.
on the race truck I made the mounts for the frontend so I could just take out a few Dzus clips and the whole frontend can be removed, also it has fenderwell headers and they can be removed with the fronend in place or with the frontend off and you don't have to remove anything else I made it so the bed is mounted on (6) 3/8 studs and it can be removed in about 2 minutes with 2 people...
