We appreciate the input but we haven't had one move on us yet. The roof and the rest of the car do a pretty good job of holding things in place.
We use temporary supports on convertibles but there doesn't seem to be a need on hardtops unless you're doing a whole quarter.
Lead is pretty toxic and, since we're only plugging possible pin holes with the vast majority to be removed, we'll stick with fiberglass until something better comes along.
