Whenever we do a butt weld on a major panel, we follow it up with a scoop of fiberglass jelly. This is used to be sure that there are no pin holes for rust to use as a breeding ground. 99.99% of it get sanded of before sealing.
Tim, just curious why you wouldn't use AMD's full qtrs, seems the amount of work to install the 1/2 skins would elate to the same amount of time/money to install full qtrs,...the benefit being IMHO a more structualy sound car, with less chance of the welds possiblely breaking down the road as the body will see torsional loads......
