In the process of fixing stuff, I identified and corrected a fairly common [in this type of vehicle] short in the wiring, getting back both the dome light AND the taillights. The seller had neglected to mention any of this electrical gremlin stuff at the time of the sale. (In his defense, I was putting what I claimed would be a PARTS CAR onto my trailer.)

They were turning backflips when they found I had fixed what had alluded them for DAYS and had then given up on.
