I would not live in west Tn for anything. Memphis is the arm pit of the state and it spreads out to other areas. My brother lives in Clarksville and loves it. 40 miles north of Nashville so everything you would need is within driving distance. I like the areas south and east of Nashville myself. Slower pace and more affordable. Knoxville to me is too congested.

A friend wrecked his Yukon Denali there and I went to rescue it. He rented a car and went on with his journey. It took me about 4 hours to get there and when I arrived there was a Memphis patrol car there waiting. The officer told me to hook up and get gone asap if you know what I mean. That was his exact words. This was next to a truck stop even.
