"Ronnie Sox's Omni match race car had a 'glide, Ask Reed."

According to Chick Deninno who built & maitained the Omni, S&M was one of the first if not the First to test a PG in PS competition - Back then, internals were not what they are today so the trans did not have a long "life" and thus S&M went back to the Lenco. I restored the Omni to that time frame because it is "period correct" for the car and had a PG in it already. Tho' the Omni has a FC cage in it with some minor updates, it has a number of the original pieces still in the car including Mag Dana, dash, doors, wheels etc - Still has the Hardy Tag on the dash, too.
Personally, I have no problem with running a PG in "old" PS-style Circuit - hard enough to get cars out there, let the guys have "less" maintenance problems and breakage.
Pic is from when we tested the car with a 440 eng before restoration.
Thanks, Reed in Neb.
