As you increase the alternators amperage, the wiring system and respective connections need upgrading. The primary weakness is the 12 guage wire, tab terminals (bulkhead) and the amp guage. If you are planning to raise the system's current pull by adding fans, fuel pump, amplifiers, lights.. I would suggest that the entire wire harness and charging system be upgraded as well..
