I was reading the college newspaper and as always looked at the classifieds. They never had much of anything, particularly cars. Something that day caught my eye: 1970 Plymouth, 4 cyl, not running, $100. I thought that's strange...did they make a 4-cyl car? Anyway, I called and it was a lady and she said come on down. I went with a friend and jumper cables. Went to the back yard. Car there, windows down, full of pine needles. 1970 was correct. Vit-C barracuda, console auto, black vinyl top, 318, factory luggage rack, rallye wheels. I gave her the $100, she gave me the title. No water in radiator - we filled it up, jumped it with some gas and starter fluid. WP leaking bad. I limped it home, cleaned it up, replaced the water pump, and drove the hell out of it. The thing had hi-jackers and glasspacks. Loved that car.
