When Hurst did the conversion back in the day, they spaced the K down from the frame rails.
Apparently the early cars were a bit evil-handling, as they later modified the steering arms.
That info, engineering drawings, and a couple photos of the rt apron cut & splice are in Jim Schild's Hemi A-body book.
Maybe some of those mods won't be necessary with the QA1 K-member.
The interference with the rt apron was at the bottom of the valve cover.
