From a build perspective, small block would be easier from sourcing parts, but would end up costing the same as the big block. Header clearance on a big block with power steering, booster assembly and weight, te small block could be a better choice. I do have a ton of 318's na da couple of 5.9 Magnums coming in.

FROM my experiance with a screw blown 4.6 mustang, a blower with positive displacement is the way to fly. I am wondering how a stroked 5.9 magnum wirh EQ or aluminum heads at 408 cubes, and blown, would hold up. Rpm could be kept pretty low and torque could be very good from off idle on up. That Mustang was a blast to drive, and a little 281 made 475 hp at the crank on pump 92.
