my brother and i met Landy and his wife one year [a LONG time ago] at carlisle while i was on a "practice tree" thing that was set up. unbeknownst to us, Dick had been standing behind us, watching me "cut lights". he remarked at how good and consistent my lights were. my brother then told him i was always pretty good at doing that, but it had been 10 years or more [at that time] since i had been down the track. then Dick challenged me to see who was better at the light game machine. i can't recall how many "lights" were involved in the challenge, but i beat him by three ! afterward, my brother and i talked to him and his wife for a bit until he had to move on. what a gracious couple they were ! we are so lucky to have met him.
