Pat was utterly without fear, a great story-teller, helluva fabricator, and generally a blast to be around, as was Hume.
LOTS of stories to tell about that place and the funny stuff that went on there; fond memories...

Thanks for sharing that story. Some trivia: at that race that, late afternoon, as I was walking up the steps to go up into the tower, who do I see? Pat Foster walking down the opposite way. I said, "Hey Pat!", he acknowledged me and said hello in return. From that brief interaction I sensed that he was a cool dude and I was correct based on your comments.
