If you figure just say a .040 head head gasket and your heads pad is .060 deep your fighting a .100 span so like posted above if hes .055 out hes at .045 quench....maybe?

Im my case with milled heads I only needed to be .035 above deck to use the oem pad to get a decent quench number.


Edit... these are not very pump gas friendly.


Mine is running great on the street with 87 octane with
a fair amount of beating on it..I will race on 93...
and it dynoed at 590 hp 525 tq
