This is a interesting topic and clearly shows how spoiled alot of us have gotten with our pump gas strokers.

Since im working on a "parts on hand" 318 build im really interested in this deal here.

Back to being spoiled..... Remember in the 70-80s before the stroker kits and such it wasnt uncommon to change rod bearings often in oem rods and even break one from time to time.

Alot of the mag builds of the time back then showed racers that did many many times the work we do now only to go alot slower.

I dont think the op-s goals are out of reach at all just alot more work and alot more upkeep on the build.

Im wondering if he could toss a oem cheater crank in it 3.45 stroke as there are many around.
